OZ ONA Hot Streak

OZ ONA HOT STREAK, a 2015 AQHA grey stallion, is a son of A Streak of Fling out of a home-raised daughter of One Hot Jose. Bred, born, and raised in Rose, Nebraska, by Nate and Missy Osentowski of Rockin’ Oz Ranch and Performance Horses, “Oz” continues to represent Nebraska with pride.

In 2019, Oz captured the AQHA World Champion Junior Heading Horse title as a four-year-old and earned a Top 10 finish in the Junior Heeling at the AQHA World Show, showcasing his rare versatility on both ends of the rope.

Since then, he’s built an impressive career in professional rodeo and open jackpots, surpassing $400,000 in lifetime earnings. His record includes major wins such as the 2022 Rocky Mountain Cup in Calgary with Ross Ashford and Clint Summers, multiple ProRodeo victories across the country, and a third-place finish at the Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls, where he earned over $25,000 for the weekend—securing his spot at the 2025 National Finals Rodeo.

In 2025, Oz was honored as Runner-Up AQHA/PRCA Heel Horse of the Year—one of the most prestigious distinctions in professional rodeo, voted on by the top 25 heelers in the PRCA. This achievement also places him among an elite few Nebraska-raised horses ever recognized in the top three heel horses of the year.

Oz has been with Lane Mitchell since May 2023. Lane Mitchell and his partner, Cyle Denison are ranked 9th in the World Standings heading into the 2025 National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with over $143,000 in earnings for the season. If all goes as planned, Oz will make history as the first-ever AQHA World Champion Stallion to compete at the NFR in the team roping.

Oz brings speed to shut the run down, a disposition all children love to be around, and a mind unmatched!  The trainability and versatility of this stallion has his foals marketable and profitable.  His oldest foals are finally turning four, and several are qualified for the AQHA World Show in the Roping.
