Cornhusker Breeders Futurity Rt. 2 Box 217A Broken Bow, NE 68822
Many barrel horse breeders have expressed interest in another breeder’s futurity. The Cornhusker Futurity will have both a breeders and an open futurity in 2008. Riders who wish to enter both will be able to roll their times from the breeders to the open if they do not wish to make two runs. The added money for the breeder’s futurity will be predicated upon the number of stallions nominated. There will also be a breeder’s derby/maturity.
The dates scheduled for these futurities are August 22 to August 24 at the indoor arena in Broken Bow, NE. The age limitations remain the same, with the futurity for horses age 5 and under and derby for horses age 7 and under. The maturity will be for horses that have previously competed in either the futurity or the derby. Derby and maturity will run together.
Our website, www.cornhuskerfuturity.com , will be able to showcase the stallions who are nominated, as well as listing in our advertisements. We will accept the first 60 stallion owners who wish to nominate their stallions. Owners may nominate more than one stallion, with the cost being $500.00 per stallion. Offspring of nominated stallions will be eligible for breeder’s futurity and derby/maturity.
Please enclose with your nomination a picture and relevant information about your stallion that you wish to have listed. We would like to have the stallion contracts returned as soon as possible to be able to keep building the website. Please also list your website if you have one. If stallion who is nominated dies, the offspring are still eligible providing nomination fees are current.
